About Us

hi. Apothecary is a female-founded skincare brand created later in life — with intention, wisdom, and a relentless passion for skin health.

I started making skincare in my kitchen for my family — to soothe rashes, fade dark spots, and support our skin with ingredients I could trust. In 2019, I began studying cosmetic formulation on my own, learning everything I could to create products that truly worked.  I sold my handmade, small batch products in our hair salon in Hawaii and felt joy with every happy customer.

In 2020, I rendered my first jar of tallow — and everything changed. It was rich, skin-compatible, and unlike anything we’d used before. That first jar became the foundation for a product line built around deep nourishment and real results.

I didn’t come from the skincare world — I came from the beauty industry as a professional hair stylist.  I worked hands-on with clients, seeing firsthand how beauty, health, and confidence are deeply connected. That experience, combined with motherhood and my own skin struggles, fueled my passion to create something better. I wanted products that delivered real results with clean, skin-loving ingredients — and I wanted to make them myself.

 

Today, I’m still learning — constantly researching skin barrier health, cellular aging, and bioavailable ingredients — so every formula I create does more than moisturize.

At hi. Apothecary, we keep it minimal and effective. Most of our products begin with tallow — nature’s most nutrient-rich moisturizer — and go further with ingredients like frankincense resin (rich in boswellic acids), squalane, lanolin, and science-backed botanicals.

No fluff. No fillers. Just functional, glow-giving skincare that supports you through every age and stage.
